Summer of 2025
- Building full and fifth scale models of lift trucks in the model shop.

Duties in the model shop

The duties as a model shop employee and as an intern are to create models to prototype and visualize the designs of the industrial design team. I worked at Plant 11 in New Bremen, OH: the Herman Project Center, or HPC.

Under my supervisor, I created and supported full and fifth scale models of various lift trucks, developing skills like:

- SLA printing (formlabs: resin)
- FDM printing (prusa: petg, pla, asa)
- woodworking (plywood)
- spray painting (lacquer and water-based paints with HVLP guns)
- sanding and filling
- and more

The models I made were for yet-to-be-released lift trucks, so I cannot show the models here.

The work I can show:

Vinyl Storage Bench

A steel table in one of the plants was proposed to be re-worked to accommodate materials for a makerspace. They gave the project to me, and I designed and built the new table.

Tomobo, the toolbox-lugging autonomous mobile robot

Crown co-ops were to complete a personal project during their experience, with critique and guidance from their supervisors and other full-time designers at Crown. My personal project was Tomobo.
